Dan Douglas: Principal, 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th teacher

Here is a little bit of information to help you get to know me: I grew up in Westminster, CO where I attended Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran, a school just like Mt. Olive.  After grade school, I attended Nebraska Lutheran High School.  I was blessed at NELHS with Christian friends and teachers.  I decided to continue my Christian education by attending Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN.  I met my wife Katie there. I graduated in 2006 with my degree in Elementary Education.
Upon graduation, I was assigned to teach 4th and 5th grade at Mt. Calvary in beautiful Redding, CA. In the winter of my first year Katie and I were married.  We were blessed with three kids: Sophia, Ella and Levi. All three of our children attend Mt. Olive.
I taught for 10 years at Mount Calvary. After the first two years we added on grades 6th-8th and I moved up with the students. For the majority of my years there, I served as the 5th-8th grade teacher and principal.
I love soccer, golf and almost every other sport. I love to participate in almost anything outdoors like hunting, hiking, camping and fishing. I really enjoy grilling for my family.

I now serve at Mt. Olive (2016-present) as the upper grades teacher and principal of the school. I love the church and school for my family. Mt. Olive has a tremendous family atmosphere.
